    As everyone knows, stress is a natural part of everydays life, and there is no way to avoid it. As the pace of modern life continues to increase, we are always feeling rapidly from morning till night. And it is hard to slow down. Therefore, stress goes hand in hand with the life in a competitive society.
      Different people, however, think of stress quite differently. Some believe that stress is not the bad thing it is often supposed to be. They are of the opinion that a certain amount of stress is important to provide powers and give purposes to life. Others argue that stress contributes to one's mental decline and hence endangers his health. According to them, relaxation, the opposite of stress, is essential for a healthy mind and body.
       Personally, I＇m in favor of the former view. I think it is impossible to avoid stress when one is entirely devoted to the career he pursues. In my opinion, it is only when the stress gets out of control that it can lead to poor performance and ill health .

Cultural Mysteries(gifts)

As a person who hates shopping more than almost anything else in the world (yes, this species of female exists), I try not to force myself to shop until I really have to.when I catching a special day and festival that I have no choice at this time and all this stuff in my arms is not for me.

Especially for Christmas gifts; when to give to, whom to give to and what to give are always hard questions to answer, it is often more complicated if different cultures are involved, which is so usual in today.

In many times the gift giving in the two cultures are not simple.In China, you have to respect the social taboos, and never give, for example, a clock or an umbrella as gifts because their pronunciations are similar to the unlucky words for "dying" and "breaking up."But in CAN, you have to be careful to avoid a gift that is too expensive, but it must be necessary.

For example, The Chinese in the same situation would more likely put the gift aside and open it later when the giver has left. This is something Westerners find very difficult, since part of the joy of giving a gift in the US or Europe is to watch the reaction of the recipient.

The western people, when they receiving a gift, tend to open the box immediately in front of the giver and always look excited and deeply thankful to the giver. But this doesn't necessarily mean they like it.

canada give me impacting

Different country have different cultures. My father had dreamed me to study in Australia，but I choose Canada, when the first time I arrived at Canada. The great country side with much cloude and light blue sky made me feel amazing. It was totally different between Beijing and Vancouver in my mind.

Just like the first sentence : different peple have the different background and cultures.In Canada, people do everything follow the rules. The most obviously thing is everyone followed the traffic rules. However, in China, some of the dirvers drived their car across the road with their option. so that is why there has much accidence every year in China. So some of the chinese like me have the same attitute when you cross the road you have to pay attention and stop to wait the car passed. For Canadian culture effect on me that is people should be more independent and they let me feel comfortable because they let you go first, and just like everything for you are neccessary. In China,child spend their parents money until they find a job, in another words, if they can not find a job, their parents have the responsibility to feed them.  Unlike in Canada, most of the Canadian child when they  grow up and have the ability to feed theirself, they will be more independed. Almost of them start leave alone and find a job to make money. But when I look at me, i feel soshamed, and when and how I can changed to be independ. But the first thing first is follow the rules and  keep the options.

Opportunity and Success

     Opportunity is one of the elements of success. But opportunities don't come often. And not all the opportunities can certainly lead to success. Moreover, opportunities are usually disguised as hard work; therefore most people don't recognize them. So if you want to achieve something, you must make efforts and get prepared. Otherwise, you will take no advantage of opportunities when they come to you. In my opinion,  there are plenty of opportunities for everyone in our society, but only those who have made enough preparations and are highly talented can make use of them to achieve their purpose.

LIFE IN VAN

       I made a decision which may change all my life in the future. I came to Canada to pursue my studies. At here, I experience much different life than my life in China.

      Especially for students who use english as their second language. English is a big problem in my life. Although I have learned english and passed the test in china already, I also need half a year to one year to practice my english. In my mind, english is boring because I should to remember those words all the time that I didn't have extra choice. All my life is filled with english words. I should practice my english at anywhere to make my english better and fluent. I want the people chating with me. It is also a chance to know more about local people's life. 

    IN here, it is very necessary to have volunteer or working experience. Canadian think volunteer or working experience is the most important instead if study achievement and community ability is the second important. For the future, if you have much more diversity experiences which can help you to find a very suitable and wonderful job.

   On education, the final exam result is not important as it in china. In vancouver, the final exam result just take 40% in your full smester's mark,so that is why we must work hard. Homework is also very important. Everyone should finfsh it and hand in on time. so we must do it carefully and hard to save my time and money.

    My life in vancouver, many things are new. I'm exciting to know and discover some interesting things in my life. Althrough, I have to face many challenge and failures , but I think my life wiil be better and more colourful!

Friends Make Life Colorful

Friends are important, just like John Donne; <<MEDITATION XVII Devotions upon Emergent Occasions>>, 1623; said:"No man can live like an island". But people always confused the meaning of  friends and acquaintances.Because not everyone that you know is firends. Nontheless, friends are always there when you need them. So that is why I always said :" I just have a few friends".Therefore, I can make them in tyeps easily.

The first types of friends is a far away friend that I grew up with or went to school with or live in same town with, until I moved away. However, if you didn't have a far away friend, you will never got a mail by hands writing. For example, my close friends always calls me at night and told me all of her secretes, because we can not meet everyday but understanding. Consequently, we would like to make a big celebrate when we met each other.

The second types of friends is formal friends, but with a sad thing. However, the best thing can gave you with full memory and the worst thing may made yours for the dangerous enemy, because you had know a lot about his/her secrete. For example, I have a female friend who had fighting with her friend, because her friend had talked about her seceret to someone. Therefore, some reasons( time, money, seceret, and distance) probably made friends in broken edge.

The last types of friends is new friends who are the tonic unlike any other. When the first time you talk, you can not believe how much common that you have with others, and suddenly your life story is interesting again. For example, you may met a friend at a night party, a bar, a sport game, a bus satation, or a conversation activity.Whenever or wherever, your ideas and opinions are fresh, even inside of your  personality. and your shortcoming is completely in invisible.

Abusolutly, friends are wonderful.They are dependable and responsible. They share your sadness and happiness. They are not interested in what they can get from you. They influence you, and you impact them either. Friends make our life colorful.
